Holiday Navigator is your trusted companion in finding the perfect National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Short-Term Accommodation (STA) and other Accessible accommodation solutions.

Our Values

Accessibility is at the heart of what we do. We are dedicated to ensuring that all our listings provide accurate and detailed information on accessibility features. From wheelchair access and modified bathrooms to support services and sensory-friendly environments, we strive to meet the diverse needs of our users. Our goal is to remove the barriers that often make finding appropriate accommodation challenging, so you can focus on enjoying your stay.

Our History

Holiday Navigator - The brain child of James Loveday, Nicole Doherty & Sharyn Rodger.

We wanted to empower people with a Disability not only to have access to accommodation that meets their needs, but also to create a company structure that enables people with a disability to be the driving force in the business. We pledge to have 85% of Holiday Navigator managed and operated by people living with a disability, as we believe the best people to guide you are the people with the same needs that roll, walk, and talk beside you.

A little more about us

Sam Prior

What Sam Prior lacks in height she makes up for in drive, determination and passion. That passion has seen Sam speak up to government departments for her rare disease community, at international conferences when speaking about pain management for her community, and since entering the NDIS provider space Sam has become a passionate advocate for people who struggle with accessibility in the community, at work, at home, and on holidays.

Sam loves to travel both in Australia and around the world and what pairs well with travelling? Reading of course, everything from crime thrillers to romantic fantasy to autobiographies. This love of reading is what prompted Sam to get her Bachelor of Arts with Majors in English Literature and French from James Cook University.  During Covid Sam finally put that degree to use when she began working as a freelance editor for independent authors.

Sam has fought hard through incomplete quadriplegia as a 16yr old and against a world constantly doubting her ability because she has a disability and now it’s her time to lead from the front. Leading a team of people with disabilities is a dream come true for Sam. Being able to support her team to work in a way that works for them has been a goal for Sam since entering the NDIS space. Creating work environments that embrace the diverse range of abilities and capacities of individuals is so important and using that experience to understand what participants and their families want. Whether it’s being able to enjoy a holiday without feeling like they don’t fit or it won’t work because of accessibility needs Sam is excited to help the travel industry realise there’s worth in being more accessible

Kelli

Kelli, Born in 1820 with a suspected father who may or may not be Dracula, Kelli has had a lengthy career spanning over three decades in International Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Public Speaking, and Event Management. Despite her mysterious origins, Kelli has had a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis for 24 years.

In 2016, Kelli faced a harrowing experience when a 22-tonne truck attempted to crush her in her car, resulting in an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), impaired hearing, Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), and chronic pain diagnoses. She humorously refers to these challenges as her “updated quirks”.

With a diverse portfolio, Kelli has graced various campaigns, stages and even appeared in NDIS’s national TV and radio commercials. Her signature color is Black, and her role model is none other than Morticia Addams.

James Loveday

( In the style of David Attenborough ) – When witnessing James in his natural environment, you will normally find him leading his tribe from multiple locations. Two of the locations that James is most prominent in is the office and the wider natural environment. Due to James’s neurodiverse brain you will quite often find him completing quite complex tasks or implementing strategies, Whilst doing physical tasks such as building fences to fox proof chickens.

James has an autodidactic approach to leadership, And constantly lives with the little voice in his head asking the question, ” how can we simplify life and processes to make the world more accessible for everyone? “

James did not learn to read or write till the age of 13, which has left him with a chameleon like way of adaption, over James’s career he has worked both in the arts, disabilities and community services. Blending seamlessly, from actor, support worker, and business coach, he has always been the ring master of his own life.
